What the laser takes off.
Old furniture often carries several coats of paint over good timber. Laser cleaning reveals the original surface without gouging carvings or lifting veneer.
- Layered paint on carved detail
- Aged varnish and shellac
- Wax build-up
- Stains from spills and age
Why not sand or strip?
Dip stripping can loosen glue joints, and sanding flattens carved profiles. A controlled laser pass is the lowest-risk option for pieces that cannot be replaced.

Common questions.
Can you clean veneer?
Yes, with low power and a test patch first. Very thin or lifting veneer may need a conservator.
Do I need to bring the piece in?
Small and medium pieces come to our workshop. Fixed joinery can be cleaned on site.
Ready to bring your wood back?
Send a few photos and the size of the area. We reply with a plan and a fixed price.
